They don’t know prejudice unless we teach them what it is.
They don’t know fear unless we teach them to be afraid.
They don’t know limitations unless we box them in.
Today, let’s take a few lessons from the ‘Furries’ of the world; Forgive others’ mistakes, show love and happiness, and accept those who look/act different from you.
My pets have always been my sunshine on a crappy day. The welcome home from an office filled with demands and people I didn’t really like. My alarm clock of cheeky kisses instead of a blaring beep to pierce the wonderful early morning silence. Hugs when a partner cracked my heart. They filled my life with that something something that we often feel is missing.
Oftentimes I feel guilt about how I have treated my past pets. The dog I left behind to go to college. The horse I sold to buy a car and date boys. The fish I neglected until it died. The dog I sold to move overseas.
Our pets are more than fixtures for our homes, more than something to own; they are FAMILY. We are their WORLD. Give them the love and respect they deserve and be their LIFE PARTNER. Owning a pet is a big responsibility…so don’t own one unless you can be responsible for it. And most of all…be the sunshine in HIS/HER day sometimes. . .
No, it’s not a cop out that I am not writing anything deep and meaningful. It’s simply that sometimes Fridays should be filled with laughter. When the rest of the world seemingly has gone bonkers turn your thoughts to the wonders of our fantastic furry friends. Watch these and enjoy an awesome laugh my friends! Cheers!
Well this is definitely my favorite costume of the doggy entries this year. I hope he gets treats for being such a good sport! 
Okay I admit that this is not my dog. But whosever dog this is…he is STAR QUALITY. You SW fans are having the heaves right now…I feel the awesomeness…I do!

My life will probably last around 10,… maybe 15 years. When I am separated from you it is painful..please remember that before you get me. Please give me time to understand what you want from me and how I should behave but please trust me because that’s crucial to me well being. I want to please you. Don’t be angry at me for long and don’t lock me up as punishment…I probably did not understand what I did and I was most likely just trying to tell you something. You are lucky cause you have your work, your fun entertainment, your friends…I only have you. So, maybe you could talk to me sometimes even if I don’t understand your words I understand your voice. If you get really angry at me and talk loud and hit me I will never forget it…but I will forgive you cause that’s what dog’s do. We forgive. Before you get mad at me for being uncooperative or lazy please ask yourself if maybe something is bothering me or if I’m trying to tell you something..I can’t speak “human”. Maybe I am sick, or I need to go out, or I am lonely. Most of all remember that I love you and even when I get old…please don’t get rid of me…my body ages just as yours does except much quicker. I need you to love me and be with me ALL my life not just the cute young years. But,….most of all please remember that I just love you…always.
